Estimates, not advice
The calculator produces estimates of take-home salary, income tax, provident fund, professional tax and related figures for Tax Year 2026-27 (FY 2026-27), based on the inputs you provide and on our reading of the law as described on the How it works page.
It is not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Your actual salary depends on your employer's payroll policies, your full income and deductions, and rules that can change during the year. Always confirm figures with your employer's payroll team or a qualified professional such as a chartered accountant before making decisions, including accepting a job offer or choosing a tax regime.
Accuracy
We check statutory rates against official sources and show the date they were last verified. Even so, we cannot guarantee that every figure is complete, current or correct for your situation. Some items, such as professional tax in states we have not verified, are shown as unverified or left for you to enter.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InHand and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its results, including financial loss, tax liability, interest or penalties.
Acceptable use
You may use the calculator for personal and professional purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades service, or present its results as official figures from a government body or employer.

The site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
